TeamCalifornia Announces 10th Annual Meet the Consultants Forum in Tulare County
Tulare County will host TeamCalifornia’s 10th Annual Meet the Consultants (MTC) Site Selection and Economic Development Forum this August as the event’s Title Sponsor. This gathering offers a unique opportunity for site selectors, economic development stakeholders, and leaders from California cities and counties to explore potential economic development opportunities across the state.
Central Location in California
The MTC event will be held from Tuesday, August 6, to Thursday, August 8, at the Visalia Convention Center. This year, the County of Tulare’s Economic Development Office (EDO) is the hosting jurisdiction, in partnership with the Tulare County Economic Development Corporation (TCEDC) and the cities of Dinuba, Exeter, Farmersville, Lindsay, Porterville, Tulare, Visalia, and Woodlake. The event has garnered significant sponsorship, including a Platinum-level sponsorship from Eagle Mountain Casino in Porterville, California.
Purpose of the Event
“The Annual MTC forum showcases California regions to site selectors making business investment decisions and allows attendees to hear the latest trends in the site selection industry and network with decision-makers. The forum is uniquely dedicated to California, held within the state to ensure a strong focus on local opportunities. There’s no need to travel outside of California to attend, making it a convenient and targeted event for those invested in development throughout the state,” says TeamCalifornia CEO Robin Reimold.
The forum provides valuable insights and strategies for economic development professionals through interactive panels, consultant presentations, and round table discussions. Topics include retail and commercial site selection, financing, business retention and expansion strategies, and workforce development.
The MTC event offers Tulare County communities a chance to showcase their local assets to site selectors, brokers, and realtors, supporting economic development by bringing key decision-makers to the Central Valley. “For attendees from outside Tulare County, the event will raise awareness about what Tulare County has to offer. Both driving and virtual tours will highlight the various communities within Tulare County,” says Michael Washam, ACE, Associate Director of the County of Tulare’s Resource Management Agency.
Eagle Mountain Casino’s commitment to California’s Central Valley is evident. In 2023, the casino partnered with the U.S. Department of Commerce, the California Office of the Small Business Development Centers (SBDC), and local jurisdictions to host an Economic Development Summit. Its sponsorship of the TeamCalifornia event underscores its dedication to regional economic development.
“We currently provide nearly 1,000 local jobs and are an economic engine for future development within Tulare County. Eagle Mountain Casino’s sponsorship reinforces our commitment to the local economy, fostering stronger ties with the community and contributing to sustainable economic progress within Tulare County and the greater Central Valley Region,” says Eagle Mountain Casino Interim General Manager Tiffany Sahagun.
