Hunter Douglas Group, the window-treatment manufacturer, is transferring additional jobs to its West Sacramento factory.
The company is moving a total of 166 jobs from Renton, Wash., to West Sacramento and Salt Lake City, company spokeswoman Sarah Fletcher said today. The move is set for February.
She didn't have an immediate breakdown of how many jobs are going to each city. The move is "part of a long-term strategy to improve manufacturing efficiency," she said.
The West Sacramento plant employs more than 300 workers making shades and shutters. It opened last spring after Hunter Douglas consolidated its Sacramento and San Jose operations. Referral URL: http://www.sacbee.com/latest/story/1451655.html
