9 Bay Area companies on Fortune's Fast 100 Silicon Valley / San Jose Business Journal
Nine Bay Area companies made Fortune magazines annual ranking of the 100 fastest-growing companies in the country.
San Francisco-based Salesforce.com Inc., which has operations in San Mateo, ranked No. 4. It showed 119 percent growth in earnings per share and 40 percent growth in revenue and a total return of 26 percent.
All are public companies and were ranked according to three-year growth in earnings per share, revenue and total return.
Ranked No. 1 was Eldorado Gold Corp., which posted 119 percent EPS growth, 47 percent revenue growth, 46 percent total return.
Others from the Bay Area on the list from the region were:
• No. 18: Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), Cupertino, 55 percent EPS growth, 34 percent revenue growth, 27 percent total return.
• No. 21: Intuitive Surgical Inc. (NASDAQ:ISRG), Sunnyvale, 43 percent EPS growth, 41 percent revenue growth, 32 percent total return.
• No. 51: Netflix Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX), Los Gatos, 40 percent EPS growth, 17 percent revenue growth, 78 percent total return.
• No. 57: Synaptics Inc. (NASDAQ:SYNA), Santa Clara, 53 percent EPS growth, 29 percent revenue growth, 5 percent total return.
• No. 66: Dolby Laboratories Inc. (NYSE:DLB), San Francisco and Santa Clara, 32 percent EPS growth, 24 percent revenue growth, 21 percent total return.
